Representatives from 5 partner venues travelled to the recent North America Golf Tourism Convention where they engaged with international buyers on America’s West Coast.
This was the first year that European Tour Properties exhibited at the event, which is attended by over 140 golf tour operators from 35 countries.
Suppliers have the opportunity to introduce themselves to all buyers during 2 hours of “speed-dating”, followed by up to 38 pre-scheduled appointments over two days with selected tour operators, as well as a number of networking-social functions.
Miguel Girbes, Director of Golf at Finca Cortesin, said about the North America Golf Tourism Convention at the Sunriver Resort in Oregon:
“This is actually our third year at the event, but it was exciting to have European Tour Properties and some of the other network venues there with us. North America is one of our main markets at Finca Cortesin, we are very popular there, so it is a great opportunity to meet with our existing partners and other potential tour operators. It’s also a great chance for us to connect with South American and Asian operators.
“The event has definitely been beneficial to our business. We had several quotations at the event this year with groups for 2019, which lays the foundations for us to close the deals in following weeks. It really has become a must-attend event for us each year, and I’d thoroughly recommend it to other venues in the network.”
