By Emily Kay 7 years ago

It’s been another award-winning month for Finca Cortesin Hotel, Golf & Spa with the exclusive Spanish venue claiming two further top accolades in European golf.

For the second year running the deluxe resort in Andalucia was named ‘Best Golf Resort in Europe’ by users of the respected website Leadingcourses.com, with voters giving unanimous approval to the venue’s decision to became the first course in Spain to relay its greens with a new variety of Bermuda grass last summer.

Voted for by golfers and resort visitors, venues were marked out of ten for the quality of their hotel and golf facilities, with Finca Cortesin scoring an impressive average rating of 9.3.

And the resort had further reason to celebrate after also being awarded the European Tour Properties Award for Best Staff Operation in 2017.

Results were taken from European Tour Properties ‘Mystery Shopper’ initiative, with criteria based on detailed guest feedback on reservation of tee times, shop presentation, visibility of course marshals, payment information, attention to detail, food presentation and data capture.

The accolades are the latest honours to be bestowed on Finca Cortesin following a memorable 2017 which included the resort winning the 2018 IAGTO Sustainability Award for Resource Efficiency for its new greens project.

Finca Cortesin’s facilities include a 67-suite hotel; an 18-hole championship golf course; a 6,000sqm Beach Club; a luxury spa featuring Spain’s only snow cave, and the choice of four restaurants.
